Effective Date: April 25, 2026
My Fence Man (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit myfenceman.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have regarding your information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you contact us through our website, request a quote, call us, email us, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect information such as your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the project you are inquiring about.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This information is collected through cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The categories of cookies we use include strictly necessary cookies, performance/analytics cookies, and advertising/targeting cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the opt-out tools listed in Section 5. Disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of the Site.
3. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising Services
We work with third-party platforms that may collect information about your interactions with our Site to help us measure performance, understand our audience, and deliver relevant advertising. These third parties may set their own cookies or use similar technologies. The platforms we may use include:
- Google services (including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Google reCAPTCHA) — used to measure site traffic, run advertising campaigns, and protect against spam. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Meta Platforms (including the Meta/Facebook Pixel and Conversions API on Facebook and Instagram) — used to measure ad performance, build custom audiences, and deliver targeted advertising. Learn more in the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Other advertising and analytics partners — we may also use platforms such as Microsoft Advertising (Bing), TikTok, YouTube, and similar services for advertising and measurement.
These partners may combine data collected on our Site with information they have collected elsewhere to provide measurement services and target ads. We do not control how these third parties use the information they collect.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and provide quotes, estimates, and fence installation or repair services.
- To schedule appointments, communicate about projects, and provide customer support.
- To send service-related messages, updates, and, where permitted, marketing communications.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Site and services.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including showing relevant ads on platforms such as Google and Meta.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Your Choices and Opt-Out Rights
You have several choices regarding tracking and advertising:
- Browser controls. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings.
- Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and manage Google ads personalization at Google Ads Settings.
- Meta/Facebook. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook Ad Preferences and Instagram account settings.
- Industry opt-outs. Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
- Marketing emails and texts. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or reply STOP to a text to opt out.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with: (a) service providers who help us operate our business and Site (such as hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, and advertising platforms described above); (b) professional advisors and contractors; (c) law enforcement or government authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety; and (d) parties to a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Some sharing for advertising and analytics may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under certain U.S. state privacy laws — see Section 8 for your rights.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information; however, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of certain uses such as targeted advertising or the sale/sharing of your information, and to limit our use of sensitive information. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, as well as residents of the EEA and UK, may have additional rights under the GDPR or similar laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Do Not Track
Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals because no common industry standard has been adopted. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
